About Stacy

Stacy is a writer, director and producer with over 20+ years of experience in film, television, digital media and live events. She recently co-directed ( with Jaclyn Chessen) and produced the short film, Her ‘. The short was adapted from the graphic novel, GRACE by Eisner Award Nominee Kris Dresen and adapted for film by Lambda Lit & ALA Finalist, JD Glass. The film stars Tina D’elia, Dalila Ali Rajah and Candis Cayne. Her experimental short film, ROAD TRIP, was awarded third place at the Embarras Valley Film Festival in 2014. Stacy’s directorial narrative debut, THE BRA MITZVAH screened at over 20 festivals around the world, including Film Pride (Brighton, UK) The Reeling LGBTQ+ International Film Festival (Chicago), the Greater Phoenix Jewish Film Festival & the Seattle Queer Film Festival and was nominated as Best Comedy Short at the 2023 Best of NFMLA (New Filmmakers Los Angeles) Awards She is currently in development of her first feature documentary, JAKE, JANIE & Me, and writing her first narrative feature film set in the 90’s. Stacy earned her MFA in Media Arts from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
